You find the RSS feed on the left side of the Fambit main view. Most web browsers show this in the URL/address field, as well. By clicking the RSS icon, you get the RSS address visible.
Depending on the browser and your computer settings, you will be suggested to add the feed to one or several optional readers. In case you don't find your preferred choice, copy the RSS address and import it in your chosen application.
For example, this image shows how you add the feed to Google Reader:
If you use Outlook as your work tool, you can now easily follow your latest in your family by adding the Fambit feed to Outlook:
Update frequency of the feed depends on your application used for reading the feed. On Outlook menu you can refresh the feed any time.
RSS on mobile devices:
Many mobile devices have a built-in support for RSS. On iPhone or iPod Touch, it is especially easy to subscribe to RSS:
- sign in to Fambit on m.fambit.com
- go to the "More" section, where you find the RSS feed of your family
- click the link and the subscription is done for the Reader application
Create a desktop application in one minute:
It is easy to create a desktop application (or widget or badge or mini-programme) for your Fambit family. For example, using Opera browser (downloadable free of charge at www.opera.com):
- After installing Opera, go to http://widgets.opera.com/widgetize/
- Create a widget
- Tune the widget style and paste the RSS address
- Now you have your own mini-programme for your family on your desktop
